Ground station deployment is available to Professional and Enterprise customers. If you're on a Starter or Standard plan and interested in ground stations, consider upgrading to Professional.
Do I need technical expertise to install?
No. The Avionix openAir is designed for plug-and-play operation. If you can mount an antenna and connect an ethernet cable, you can install a ground station. Professional installation services are available if needed.
What happens to the data my ground station receives?
All traffic received by your ground station feeds into the SafeSky network in real-time. This enhances coverage for all SafeSky users in the area while serving your operations. Data is processed following SafeSky privacy and security standards.
Can I move a ground station between locations?
Yes. Ground stations can be easily relocated. Simply power down, move to the new location, power up, and it automatically reconnects to the SafeSky network.
What maintenance is required?
Minimal. Check antenna mounting security periodically, ensure network connectivity remains stable, and verify power supply. Firmware updates are automatic over-the-air, requiring no manual intervention.
