Before You Begin

Make sure you have these items ready:

SafeSky Subscription

Starter, Standard, Professional, or Enterprise plan

DJI FlightHub 2 Sync

Admin privileges required

Hardware must be online

FlightHub 2 will begin receiving live traffic data as soon as your dock is powered on, or your drone is airborne. No aircraft will appear on the map whilst your fleet is offline.

DJI Dock series only

At this time, SafeSky traffic integration in FlightHub 2 is supported exclusively for the DJI Dock series. Support for additional hardware is coming soon.

Integration Steps

Follow these four steps to connect SafeSky traffic data to your DJI FlightHub 2 dashboard

1

Create Your API Key

SafeSky Enterprise Portal

Navigate to Integrations
Click "Add Integration" and select "DJI FlightHub 2"
Copy your API key for the next step

API key format:

sk_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
SafeSky Enterprise Portal
SafeSky Enterprise Dashboard showing Add Integration dialog
DJI FlightHub 2 Sync
DJI FlightHub 2 Sync home page showing Airspace Data section with plus button
2

Add Airspace Data Source

DJI FlightHub 2 Sync

Open DJI FlightHub 2 Sync
Find the "Airspace Data" section
Click the "+" button to add a new data source
This opens the airspace configuration dialog
3

Configure SafeSky Provider

Airspace Data Settings

Set status to "Enable"
Enter "SafeSky" as the Service Provider
Enter "SafeSky" as the Service Provider URL

Configuration values:

Service Provider:SafeSky
Service Provider URL:SafeSky
Airspace Data Configuration

API Key Configuration
Paste API key in FlightHub 2 Sync and click Verify
4

Paste Your API Key

Final configuration step

In the API Key field, paste the key you copied from Step 1
Click "Verify" to validate the connection
Confirm the status shows operational

You're all set. Real-time traffic now appears on your map.

With the integration active, FlightHub 2 streams live positions of surrounding manned aircraft directly onto your map. Traffic will appear as soon as at least one dock is powered on or drone is airborne. With no hardware online, the map will show no traffic regardless of your configuration.

Troubleshooting

Traffic not appearing

Check these items:

  • Airspace Data source is set to "Enable"
  • API key correctly entered
  • Subscription is active
  • There is actual traffic in your area. Check on live.safesky.app
  • At least one dock is powered on or a drone is airborne. Traffic data is only received whilst hardware is online.

"Invalid API Key" error

Solutions:

  • Verify key starts with sk_live_
  • Check for extra spaces when pasting
  • Create a new API key if needed

Data is delayed or outdated

Possible causes:

  • Network connectivity issues
  • FlightHub 2 refresh rate settings
  • Approaching API usage limits

Quota exceeded

Your service continues uninterrupted:

  • Overage billing applies automatically
  • Check usage in the SafeSky Dashboard
  • Consider upgrading your plan for a lower rate
